If you’ve read our Mission Statement you’ll see it has “transformation” at its center. Transformation from our old selves to our “true selves” as we grow in our spiritual lives in Christ.
While at times transformation can be difficult we hope, and believe, that every follower of Jesus should want to grow deeper in that relationship with him. We realize that people grow best in authentic biblical community with other believers as they learn God’s word, its principles and interact how those things can lead them closer to Christ and how he can change their lives. Though your spiritual growth is your responsibility, we are constantly trying to shape the groups, programs and events at HVC to assist and encourage you in that growth.
Getting started on your spiritual growth plan is easier than you might think. At HVC we have designed some primary environments to help you grow spiritually in Christ.
Sunday Morning Service
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25
We believe there is something very powerful about Sunday morning worship. Something that is very central, essential and important. We believe that having the church together in corporate worship, listening and responding as one can’t be replaced by any other venue. Small Groups
Meeting during the week, usually in someone’s home, these groups aim at biblical community. They are designed for interaction and connection–but also for spiritual formation and growth. Small groups are the indispensable place where people can really get to know Jesus and the joy that comes from following Him, encouraged by others on that same journey, facing the same struggles.
