Food for Thought is a unique ministry that creates a place for women and their friends to “come and taste.” With delicious food, beauty, and dialogue as the backdrop, we hope to bring life to one idea around the person of Christ and life with Him.
We’ve specifically designed Food for Thought to be welcoming, inclusive and creative in order to encourage connection and discussion about the ideas of faith and womanhood. We hope and pray it is a place where those new to our church or women who want to grow in their spiritual walk can come, meet, be welcomed and engage over great food and sharing.
Join us Wednesday, May 23, at 6:30pm
“Life-Filling Gratitude”
Food for Thought welcomes Jenna Mace, wife to husband Wes Mace and mother of 4 boys.
We all know enough to thank God for our food, but we often get stuck there. How about branching out a bit… This means figuring out how to express thankfulness for really good sneezes, a Styrofoam cup of truck stop coffee, the way it feels when you pull your socks all the way up, the tricks your smartphone does, the way the clouds can do that, not to mention the way those birds are fooling around in the tree, your husband’s quirks, the joy of completing a task, and a simple cup of tea. And by all these things, I am not talking about “happy about,” but rather “thankful to.” It is then we can bridge to the supernatural where we can imagine being thankful for hardship, loneliness and loss.
Registration deadline is Sunday, May 13! Cost is $8
