In his book, “The Mission of God,” Christopher Wright asks a very important question of any Christian: “Are you seeking to understand Christian mission in light of the Bible, or to understand the Bible in light of God’s mission?”
What an important question! The Global Missions Team at HVC seeks to integrate God’s mission to rescue and redeem those lost by raising awareness of missions, those serving in and through our church, and to help mobilize the church to “go” into the world as Christ’s Ambassadors in 4 strategic ways,
- praying for those on mission
- supporting financially those on mission (long and short term)
- supporting sending opportunities for those exploring personally going on mission
- promoting opportunities for people to travel abroad on mission
Currently the Global Missions Team is going through a restructuring and we are looking for team members who would be willing to serve for one year and help reform the Mission’s strategy at HVC.
